Lakewood Man, 69, Killed In Route 9 Monmouth County Crash: Prosecutor

A 69-year-old Lakewood man was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Route 9 in Monmouth County early Sunday, Sept. 24, authorities said.

His name had not been released.

At 2:53 a.m., Howell police responded to the crash that took place at the intersection of Route 9 and Aldrich Road, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

No other details had been released.

The crash is currently under investigation by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Howell Police Department.
